The circular Kučar–Kolpa Educational Trail leads from the campsite Podzemelj to the village of Podzemelj, up to the Kučar hilltop and back to the starting point through the village of Zemelj and past the Church of St. Helen. During the walk, you can learn about the site of an ancient fort from the late Iron Age, see burial mounds, enjoy the nature and the Kolpa River and take in the wonderful scenery full of fields, forests and vineyards. However, it is the middle part of the path that is undoubtedly the most rewarding one – rising to a 222-metre high Kučar hill to admire the spectacular route the river Kolpa incised in the past.
